I’m Joel Thomas, a dedicated freelance media producer who has transformed a passion for crafting compelling videos into a thriving career. My artistic fervour extends from traversing distant corners of the world to capture military aviation and trackside motorsport spectacles. While these adventures fuel my soul, practicality reminds me that bills must be paid.

My journey led me to Brisbane in 2011, where I pursued my creative dreams through a Screen & Media diploma. With this foundation, a number of freelance opportunities unfurled before me within the industry’s vibrant tapestry. My involvement has spanned diverse realms, from aviation and motorsport to news, fashion, homeware, brewing, and hospitality.

Craft beer emerged as a flavourful discovery, propelling me into collaborations with prominent Brisbane-based breweries. Helios Brewing Company, Fortitude Brewing, New Era Brewing, Parched Brewery, Hiker Brewing, and others have all shared my lens. Amidst these pursuits, I encountered Adsy, an ardent craft beer aficionado, resulting in the birth of Aussie Beer Voyage—a multimedia podcast. As its co-founder, director, producer, and more, I orchestrate the technical intricacies, visuals, audio, editing, and social media scheduling, nurturing this passion project alongside my myriad commitments.

My true delight lies in immortalising business moments, bringing their creative narratives to the forefront. Engagements range from poignant interviews to grand-scale brochure photography, illuminating explainer videos, and beyond.
